Jonny Evans odds-on for Manchester City move
Northern Ireland defender in demand
West Brom‘s Jonny Evans is now just 2/5 to join Manchester City, according to Coral.
The Citizens were 2/1 to be Evans’ next club but a flurry of bets now mean he is odds-on for a move to the Etihad Stadium.
Local rivals Manchester United have also been looking at their former player but they’re now 5/1 to sign the centre back, with Everton also at 5/1 and Arsenal at 6/1.
Evans has just 18 months left to run on his deal at the Hawthorns and the 29-year-old seems unlikely to sign an extension.
Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “Jonny Evans seems sure to be on the move soon and we’ve seen a lot of support over the last few days on him making Manchester City his next club.”
Pep Guardiola’s side are now 4/1 to go unbeaten for the rest of the Premier League season after recording yet another win against Newcastle this week.
City travel to Crystal Palace on Sunday and are 1/4 to see off 2017 with another three points.
2/5 Manchester City, 5/1 Manchester United, 5/1 Everton, 6/1 Arsenal.
