Blues face competition from Man Utd for Brazil star
Chelsea are joint-favourites to sign Juventus left-back Alex Sandro this month, according to Coral’s traders.
The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for the 26-year-old. They’re 6/1 to get their man, level with Premier League rivals Manchester United.
Sandro would compete for the left wing-back spot with Marcos Alonso if he moved to Stamford Bridge.
Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “We know that Conte is an admirer of Sandro and Juventus have said that they won’t stand in the players way if he wants to leave, so there’s a real possibility that we could see the Brazilian at Stamford Bridge before the end of the January window.”
Chelsea could also move for Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal. Bayern are rumoured to be close to agreeing a deal for Leon Goretzka, which could pave the way for Vidal’s exit.
Antonio Conte worked with the Chilean at Juventus. It’s 7/2 that they’re reunited in West London.
“It remains to be seen whether Vidal will leave in January, however it does seem fairly certain that Chelsea will be at the front of the queue if he does,” added Aitkenhead.
