Los Legionarios enjoying stellar home run

Real Madrid head to CD Leganes on Thursday night for the first leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final.

Los Blancos have won just once in five La Liga outings. And their cup form could also take a nosedive against a Leganes side who boast a strong home record.

The hosts have won their last four in all competitions at Estadio Municipal de Butarque. That includes a 3-1 league win against high-flying Villarreal. And going back further, they’ve lost just one of nine on their own patch.

Whilst Real have seen out lower-tier opponents in unspectacular fashion, Leganes have done it the hard way – turfing out the Yellow Submarine in the round of 16. Coral’s Bet of the Day is Double Chance: Leganes or Draw at 33/20.

Goals likely at both ends

The pair’s last meeting ended 4-2 to Real, with the opening period producing a five-goal haul. And the Coral News Team think both teams will register on Thursday.

Los Legionairios have scored in four games on the spin, bagging two goals away at Real Betis on Monday evening.

As for Madrid – they’re without a clean sheet in their last three games, though they’ve still managed to rack up seven goals in four outings.

Both Teams to Score looks a solid bet at 4/5, while Over 3.5 Goals could prove a value bet at 31/20.

Will it be honours-even at the interval?

Four of Real’s last six matches have been level at the break, including each of their last two – at home to Numancia and Villarreal respectively.

As for Leganes, all of their last three home games were draws at half-time, with Los Legionarios going on to win each of them.

First-Half Result: Draw is a 13/10 shot, while a 1-1 draw at Half-Time could prove popular at 15/2.

With Leganes frequently turning half-time draws into victory, the Coral News Team think Half-Time/Full-Time: Draw/Leganes could be a lively longshot at 14/1.

Big match previews, betting tips and transfer news – Coral have it all.
