Bet of the Day: Expect a goalfest as Arsenal visit Bournemouth
Published:
This fixture has a high-scoring history
Arsenal’s recent Premier League form has been a contrast of attacking excellence and defensive disasters. The Gunners have taken seven points from their last four games, scoring nine goals but shipping eight.
They head to the Vitality Stadium to face AFC Bournemouth on Sunday. And history – as well as the visitors’ form – points to a veritable goalfest.
The last three games have produced a combined 13 goals, with a thrilling 3-3 draw on the South Coast last term.
After struggling for goals early in the campaign, the Cherries have found their feet of late. Eddie Howe’s men have bagged nine goals in four games across all competitions, but haven’t kept a clean sheet since November.
That all points to a high-scoring affair, and Coral’s Bet of the Day is Over 3.5 Goals at 5/4.
Second half could see floodgates open
Last year’s 3-3 draw saw four goals netted after the break – one by Bournemouth, and three by the Gunners. And second-half drama has been a hallmark of both sides’ recent games.
Both sides have scored in the second period in each of the Cherries’ last three Prem games, including two goals apiece in the 3-3 draw with West Ham United.
As for Arsenal, all four strikes in their last league game – a 2-2 draw with Chelsea – came after the interval. Both Teams to Score in Second Half looks good value at 6/4. Meanwhile, Second Half: Over 2.5 Goals is available at 2/1.
Gunners ace value to find the net
There’s been plenty of speculation on the future of Alexis Sanchez in recent days. But for the time being, the Chilean is an Arsenal player – and their most likely goal-getter on Sunday.
The 29-year-old has scored three times in as many games against Bournemouth, and has registered three goals in his last quartet of league outings.
Sanchez to Score Anytime looks backable at 6/5, while it’s 9/2 for the Chilean to score twice or more.
