A Buckinghamshire man is celebrating today after he scooped more than £135,000 for just a £1 stake on Tuesday.
The 41-year-old, who wishes to remain anonymous, placed a 50p each-way six horse accumulator online at coral.co.uk on races at Hereford and Kempton.
And although one of the selections was a subsequent non-runner, the remaining five all won.
It included winners at 20/1 and 12/1, to land the punter a return of £135,349.20.
Speaking to Coral, the customer said: “I like to place a small accumulator on the racing on a regular basis as it gives me an interest throughout the afternoon for just a small stake.
On this occasion, I didn’t actually check back until the races were run through, and when I saw the amount in my account I did a double-take! I even logged out and back in again, just to check it was real.”
