It’s a big day for a number of managers

Saturday’s Premier League clashes kick off the Christmas run of fixtures that see us right into the New Year.

As with every round of top flight fixtures, there’s a number of interesting games at the top and bottom of the league.

The Coral News Team takes a look at the best subplots and gives you a few bet recommendations.

Big Sam to keep Toffees sweet

Sometimes it’s difficult to understand how Sam Allardyce does it. After a destitute start to the season under Ronald Koeman, the new Everton manager has presided over an unbeaten run since taking over.

That’s included five wins and a draw from six games. Big Sam’s team welcome Chelsea to Goodison Park this time. And this will arguably be his toughest game to date.

The Blues have won their last three games in a row. Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata are both in good form.

However, Everton have won two of the last three meetings between the sides on Merseyside and are 6/5 on the Double Chance marketBoth Teams To Score is also nicely priced at 19/20.

Top-four battle between Spurs and… Burnley

Nearly half-way through the season and Sean Dyche’s Burnley sit one point ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the table.

It’s been a remarkable season for the Clarets so far and Dyche’s outfit can go one further against Spurs at Turf Moor.

However, Spurs tend to do quite well against Burnley. The Londoners are unbeaten in the last seven clashes between the sides, including a 2-0 away success last season.

There’s little between the sides at the minute, though. And Dyche will likely try and keep it tight. Burnley at 7/5 on the Double Chance market has to be the play.

Hughes could be in last chance saloon

Stoke City host West Bromwich Albion at the Potteries with Mark Hughes currently under immense pressure.

A win is imperative here otherwise the Stoke boss could be given his marching orders. The Potters have lost five of their last six and are hovering just about the dropzone.

WBA have recently appointed Alan Pardew and will be difficult to dispatch. The Baggies are in the relegation spots and will be scrapping for points.

The Midlands outfit also have a good record against Stoke and have won four of the previous six meetings.

Back the Baggies to win in the Draw No Bet market at 13/10. You’ll get your money back if there’s a draw.
