Stoke boss Mark Hughes new favourite to be next manager to leave
Welshman is under fire after difficult run
Coral have cut the odds on Mark Hughes to be the next Premier League manager to leave his position to 4/5 (from 9/4) after a flurry of bets over the last 48 hours.
Hughes has now been backed into favourite following Stoke City’s defeat at Burnley on Tuesday night.
Swansea City manager Paul Clement is next in the betting at 10/11.
“Two consecutive away defeats has left Mark Hughes feeling the heat and punters have backed him into favourite to be the next managerial casualty of the season,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.
Clement’s Swansea are 1/3 with the firm to be relegated this season, with Huddersfield Town (7/5), West Bromwich Albion (13/8) and Crystal Palace (2/1).
Stoke are currently 4/1 to go down.
The Staffordshire outfit have won just one of their last seven games.
They’ve suffered defeat in four of their last five, and some of the squad were confronted by fans after their 5-1 loss at Tottenham Hotspur.
