Bet of the Day: Expect a slew of goals as Watford host Tottenham

Both sides have plenty of attacking talent

Tottenham Hotspur’s trip to Watford on Saturday could well prove to be the game of the weekend, as far as the neutrals are concerned.

The Hornets have been involved in some thrilling encounters of late, including Tuesday night’s 4-2 loss to Manchester United. Despite defeat, that game marked the fourth successive game where Watford have scored two or more goals.

As for visitors Spurs, each of their previous three matches have seen both sides find the net. And in-form striker Harry Kane heads into this game having netted in each of those matches.

Add the fact the last two Head-to-Heads produced a combined nine goals, and a thriller looks on the cards at Vicarage Road. Coral’s Bet of the Day is Over 3.5 Goals at 8/5.

Both sides goal-happy after the interval

Despite indifferent form in recent weeks, Tottenham have tended to be significantly stronger in the second half of games. All of the Lilywhites’ last seven goals have come after the break.

Watford’s games have also seen a slew of goals in the second period. The Hertfordshire outfit have scored six times after the interval in their past four games, but also shipped four in the process.

The last clash between this pair at Vicarage Road also saw both sides net after half-time, so the Coral News Team like the look of Both Teams to Score in Second Half at 9/5.

Hornets can exploit Spurs’ patchy form

While the North London club have been strong in the Champions League, they’ve won just once in five Premier League games. That includes three successive away defeats – at Man United, Arsenal and Leicester City.

Despite also losing to Jose Mourinho’s men, Watford have been fairly good of late. They won comfortably in each of their two games prior to that, with a 2-0 defeat of West Ham United and a 3-0 victory at St. James’ Park.

Spurs have tended to dominate this fixture in recent times, so backing victory for the hosts still has an element of risk about it. However, the Double Chance: Watford or Draw looks good value at 23/20.
