Bet of the Day: Chelsea to pour more misery on Moyes

Published:

Blues to ease to comfortable win in derby

It doesn’t get any easier for West Ham United as Premier League champions Chelsea head to the London Stadium today.

The Hammers have yet to win under new manager David Moyes. Despite a gallant performance against Manchester City, a late David Silva goal won all three points for Pep Guardiola’s team.

Moyes has overseen a draw and three defeats in his four games in charge. The side certainly looks more solid in defence, but remains blunt in attack.

Antonio Conte’s outfit head across London in good form. The Blues are unbeaten in seven games in all competitions and have won five of them.

Chelsea were very impressive in midweek against Atletico Madrid. A Jan Oblak masterclass between the sticks stopped the Londoners bagging all three points.

Conte’s side have a good recent record against the Irons, winning six of the last 10 meetings.

Therefore, the Coral Bet of the Day is Chelsea to win -1 at 27/20.

Hammers to make it difficult

Moyes’ side played reasonably well in that previously-mentioned defeat to Man City.

The Hammers defended well and looked dangerous at times through Michail Antonio.

The England international played in a striking role in the defeat and could have scored on a couple of occasions against the City backline.

On average, West Ham games see 3 goals per game, with Chelsea’s at 2.67. It’s possible the Hammers could nick a goal on the break here, in a game filled with them.

Both Teams To Score is 20/23, and Both Teams To Score and a Chelsea win is 9/4.

Hazard-ous situation for Irons

Eden Hazard has been on-fire for Chelsea in recent weeks. The Belgium international ran Atletico ragged in midweek and really should have notched at least two goals.

Hazard has five goals in his last six games and bagged eight for the season in total so far.

Drifting in and around the space between Alvaro Morata, the former Lille winger causes havoc. He’s 13/10 to score Anytime and 7/2 to be First Goalscorer.

For West Ham, Michail Antonio looks a player capable of finding the net. He’s 10/3 Anytime.
