It’s game on at Alexandra Palace

It’s time to get serious at the World Darts Championship, as the tournament moves into the latter stages.

Fans will have plenty of excellent tungsten action to enjoy at Ally Pally today, with a cracking afternoon and evening session scheduled.

The highlight for the Coral News Team though, is the Dutch duel between two Ally Pally legends, Vincent van der Voort and Raymond van Barneveld.

The latter has won 17 of his 19 meetings with VVDV, so Coral’s Bet of the Day is Van Barneveld to win at 1/3.

No whitewash for the Orange duo

That’s not to say that 2007 champion Barney will have it all his own way.

Van der Voort has gone about his business nicely so far, and is yet to drop a set in the tournament.

The rapid-fire thrower is one of just four players averaging 100+ ahead of today’s action, and his 130 highest checkout isn’t to be ignored.

Plus, he’s run Barney pretty close in the last four meetings. Over 5.5 sets is Evens, while a 4-2 win for Barney could appeal at 7/2.

180s aplenty

The Dutch duo have thrown 23 180s between them already this year at Ally Pally.

They know each other well, and having met so many times down the years, nerves won’t be a problem.

So there should be plenty of arrows hitting the treble 20 this evening. Over 12.5 180s looks as solid a punt as any at 8/11. And a 180 in the opening leg of the match should be on at 11/10.

Big match previews, betting tips and transfer news – Coral have it all.
