Toffees still looking for a first UEL win

Everton conclude their Europa League journey this evening by taking on Apollon Limassol in Cyprus.

The Toffees have endured a nightmare campaign so far. Under Ronald Koeman and David Unsworth, the Blues have picked up just one point from five games.

Things aren’t likely to get any better against Apollon. The visitors are expected to field a weakened team against the Cypriot side. That could mean a heavy emphasis on youth as Sam Allardyce prepares for the Merseyside Derby at the weekend.

With that in mind – and considering Everton’s poor form in this competition – the Coral News Team think it could be a sticky night for the Toffees. Thursday’s Bet of the Day is Apollon Limassol to beat Everton at 5/4.

Raining goals in the Med

Everton have conceded two goals or more in all five of their Europa League group games so far. Against O Fygas that looks set to continue. A youthful Blues side will be fearless in attack but also shaky at the back.

That should make for a goal-laden game in the South of Cyprus. You can get 19/10 for there to be Over 3.5 Goals in the game. It’s an even more tempting 5/1 for Apollon to Win and Over 3.5 Goals to be scored.

Lookman can step up

With the main cast set to be kept at home, that should give some chances to those on the periphery of the squad. Ademola Lookman has looked good in patches this season. This game could be his chance to stake a claim on a more permanent basis.

It’s 13/5 for the England youth international to Score Anytime, while you can get a handy 8/1 on him breaking the deadlock in the contest.
