There was plenty to discuss

When will Man City’s winning run come to an end?

It’s 16 wins on the spin for Manchester City now, after their comprehensive 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur.

The scoreline was a fair reflection on the game. The Citizens hit 20 shots on goal, and had Spurs covered on every part of the pitch.

It’s surely a question of when Pep Guardiola’s men win the title now, rather than if. The other question of course though, is can anyone stop their sensational winning run?

What’s going on at Watford?

Watford were knocking on the door of the top four not so long ago.

But Marco Silva’s men are now winless in five games, and there were woeful in their 4-1 home defeat to Huddersfield Town.

For all their good work going forward, Watford now own the second-worst defence in the league.

And Troy Deeney’s dismissal on Saturday made it three red cards from three games. Their lack of discipline and defensive errors are starting to cost them dear.

Has Moyes rediscovered his touch at West Ham?

David Moyes has guided his West Ham United side to two wins and a draw from their last three games.

That’s no mean achievement when they’ve played Chelsea and Arsenal in that time.

The irons fully deserved their 3-0 win over Stoke City on Saturday.

They can’t afford to get complacent though, they sit just two points above the drop zone.

But their next three league games are against Newcastle United, Bournemouth and West Bromwich Albion, so there’s a real chance for Moyes to get the Hammers towards mid-table in the next few weeks.

How long has Hughes got at Stoke?

He says he doesn’t do relegation, but Mark Hughes has a fight on his hands this season.

The Stoke boss saw his side limp to a dire 3-0 loss at home to West Ham.

It means the Potters now sit 17th, just one place and one point outside of the bottom three.

They have the worst defence in the division, and have two huge games coming up. First is a home game versus West Brom on Saturday, before a trip to Huddersfield on Boxing Day.

Roy Hodgson’s high-flying Eagles

It seems scarcely believable that Crystal Palace didn’t pick up a point or even score a goal in their first seven games of the season.

The Eagles looked doomed, but now they sit 14th after an excellent win at Leicester City.

Palace were superb in their 3-0 success, and are now unbeaten in seven games.

They have to face Man City and Arsenal over the festive period, but amazingly a top-half finish is not out of the question.
