Tony Pulis is now odds-on at 4-7 with leading bookmaker Coral to become the new Wales manager after heavy support behind the Welshman arrived yesterday afternoon and this morning following his dismissal by West Brom. Ryan Giggs is out to 7-5 (from 4-6) and Craig Bellamy can be backed at 5-1.

Elsewhere in Coral’s managerial markets, Marco Silva is 8-11 to get the permanent Everton job, Alex McLeish is 5-4 to be appointed Rangers boss and Michael O’Neill is 2-1 to be handed the reins at West Brom.

“As soon as the news broke that Tony Pulis had been dismissed by West Brom, punters wasted no time backing him to become the next Wales manager where he is now odds-on following this strong gamble,” said Coral’s John Hill.
