Three potential destinations for Torino striker Andrea Belotti

| 23.11.2017

Italian ace has attracted interested

Torino striker Andrea Belotti is the subject of significant interest from a host of clubs from across the continent.

The 23-year-old has scored 41 goals in 80 league appearances for Il Toro since signing from Palermo in 2015.

And now a clutch of Europe’s biggest names look prepared to act.

But with a release clause rumoured to be around £89m, only a handful of European ‘super clubs’ are able to afford the Italian ace.

Here, the Coral News Team look at three of Belotti’s most likely destinations…

Blues boss Antonio Conte has long been a fan of Belotti. The Italian would relish the chance to work with his fellow countryman, especially with Chelsea in need of an extra striker.

Alvaro Morata has been a solid addition at Stamford Bridge, but his long-term future appears to be away from West London. The 25-year-old has hinted recently that he finds London ‘stressful’, sparking suggestions of a move back to Spain. Should that scenario unfold, Conte would be left with a significant hole up-front.

And even if Morata does remain at Chelsea, Belotti has enough quality to challenge the Spaniard for a place in the starting line-up. Part of the problem over recent years at the Bridge has been the lack of competition for starting places up-front. Belotti’s addition would change that and give the Blues another dangerous outlet going forward.

Real Madrid

At this stage, the Santiago Bernabeu appears to be Belotti’s most likely destination. Reports last week emerged that representatives of Real and Torino had met to discuss a possible deal for the Italian hitman.

And if Los Blancos want a player, they usually get him. Aside from being an attractive destination to any young striker, Zinedine Zidane’s side also have the financial clout to cover Belotti’s £89m release clause.

With Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale’s futures both uncertain, the Spanish capital is a more than viable destination for the 23-year-old.

Could Belotti really cross the city divide and join Torino’s local rivals Juventus? Well, if you believe Juve boss Max Allegri, then no. However, the Coral News Team think otherwise.

La Vecchia Signora have the pick of whomever they want in Serie A. And the hottest property in the division would surely be of interest to the 33-time league winners.

Like Chelsea and Real Madrid, they have the funds to make a move happen. And while they may not come in for the ex-Palermo man in January, a move could happen next summer depending on Juve’s other transfer activities.
