Ralf Rangnick has been cut into 2-1 (from 5-1) by bookmaker Coral in the last 24 hours to get the Everton job after the firm saw a flurry of bets for the German. Marco Silva is second best in the latest betting at 11-5, while David Unsworth is now out to 4-1 (from 5-2) following the Toffees’ defeat to Atlanta last night.

Elsewhere, Alan Pardew is as short as 1-3 to take over at West Brom, Alex McLeish is 5-4 in the next permanent Rangers manager betting and Craig Bellamy is 2-5 to be named Wales manager.

“Ralf Rangnick is the latest name to be backed into favouritism in the next Everton manager market. The 5-1 defeat to Atlanta has clearly affected David Unsworth’s chances as the caretaker boss in now third best in the latest betting,” said Coral’s John Hill.
