England cut to 9-4 to win First Test

England have been cut into 9-4 (from 10-3) by bookmaker Coral to win the First Test against Australia following the opening day’s play at the Gabba. The hosts are out to evens (from 8-11) and the draw is now 11-4.

Coral go 10-11 that England make over 342.5 runs in their first innings, while it is also 10-11 for them to end up with less than 342.5 runs.

“The betting suggests England have a good opening day as their odds have been cut to start the series with a win. They are projected to get around 342 runs which is a total they probably would have taken when Cook was dismissed early in the innings,” said Coral’s John Hill.

**First Test Betting
Evs Australia, 9-4 England, 11-4 Draw

**England – First innings total runs
10-11 Under 342.5 runs, 10-11 Over 342.5 runs
