Champion Hurdle hope Defi Du Seuil heads Coral Hurdle betting

Defi Du Seuil, unbeaten in seven starts for trainer Philip Hobbs and 8-1 co-third favourite for the Champion Hurdle, heads the sponsor’s betting for Saturday’s Coral Hurdle at 11-10, in the firm’s opening show on the Ascot Grade Two. Lil Rockerfeller, runner-up in the race twelve months ago, is 5-2 second favourite to go one better, with L’Ami Serge next in the betting at 3-1.
“Faugheen, now 7-4 from 9-4 favourite for the race, laid down an impressive Champion Hurdle marker at the weekend, and on Saturday Defi Du Seuil will begin his campaign in an Ascot race that should provide the Triumph Hurdle winner with a proper test, with the opposition headed by the ever-reliable Lil Rockerfeller,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
