Bet of the Day: West Ham to get a vital win over Everton

Everton need to appoint a manager quickly

This season hasn’t gone to plan for either Everton or West Ham United so far. Both clubs have sacked their manager already.

West Ham’s decision to appoint David Moyes wasn’t popular. But it looks like a masterstroke in comparison to Everton’s search for a replacement for Ronald Koeman.

A month after sacking the Dutchman, the Toffees appear no closer to filling the position. While they’ve been waiting, the team have lost five of seven games under caretaker boss David Unsworth.

They’ve been awful in recent weeks, while the Hammers looked much better in their 1-1 draw with Leicester City.

The away side could be in line for their first win under Moyes and the Coral Bet of the Day is West Ham to win at 11/5.

Defensive deficiency

West Ham rallied after going a goal down to Leicester but the Foxes scored far too easily. They’ve got the joint-second worst defence in the top flight this season (26 goals conceded).

The only side with a worse record is Everton, who’ve managed to concede 28 goals.

Both sides’ issues at the back mean there could be goals in store. Over 2.5 Goals is priced at 19/20.

Slow Starters

Everton have conceded in the opening 30 minutes in each of their last three games. That could bode well for Moyes’ side, who built up a head of steam in the second half against Leicester.

They’ll hope to pick up where they left off in this one. West Ham are 4/1 to be leading after 30 minutes.
