Ulysses all the rage for Qipco Champion Stakes

| 17.10.2017
SPORTSBOOK ODDS

Ulysses is the 10-3 second favourite with Coral for Saturday’s QIPCO Champion Stakes, having been a 5-1 chance with the firm 24 hours earlier, as the Coral-Eclipse and Juddmonte International winner continued to be the best-backed contender for the Ascot Group One.  Cracksman heads the betting at 3-1, with Barney Roy 4-1.

“Cracksman remains favourite for the QIPCO Champion Stakes, but Ulysses is the one the punters want to be with so far this week, and if the rain stays away from Ascot, the latter will almost certainly be sent off favourite for what promises to be a fitting climax to the Champions Day Group Ones,” said Coral’s David Stevens.

Order Of St George has also been popular for his Champions Day target, and Aidan O’Brien’s charge is 5-4 (from 6-4) favourite for the QIPCO Long Distance Cup, ahead of his old rival, Big Orange, at 9-2.
