Three huge European games you can’t afford to miss this weekend

Coral casts a look on continental affairs

The big game in the Premier League this weekend is Tottenham’s clash with Liverpool at Wembley. But there are some massive fixtures over on the continent too.

Here, the Coral News Team profile three of the biggest matches taking place this weekend.

It’s a trio of games that can’t be missed, and here’s why…

Valencia v Sevilla (Saturday 5:30pm)

It’s second versus fifth in La Liga as high-flying Valencia host Sevilla.

After years of turmoil, Los Che finally look to be back on track under new coach Marcelino. They are one of just three sides who remain unbeaten.

Simone Zaza and Rodrigo have been scoring for fun, but Sevilla are always a force to be reckoned with.

The Rojiblancos are a relative model of consistency, having gone through just two changes of management in the last four years (compared to Valencia’s nine).

And with Sevilla conceding just four times this term under Eduardo Berizzo, this game promises to be a real test of Valencia’s progress.

Napoli v Inter Milan (Saturday 7:45pm)

After years of Juventus domination, Napoli and Inter Milan are desperate to oust the Old Lady in Serie A.

And they’re doing a fine job so far.

Napoli currently top the table with eight wins from eight, while Inter are just two points behind in second.

The two clubs are the only remaining unbeaten sides in the division.

With so much attacking talent on show there should be plenty of goals in this top-of-the-table thriller in Naples.

Marseille v PSG (Sunday 8.00pm)

Over in France there is the small matter of Le Classique this weekend.

Widely regarded as the biggest and most intense rivalry in French football, Marseille are out to avenge their 5-1 drubbing at home to Paris Saint-Germain last season.

Marseille haven’t beaten their great rivals in 14 attempts – a run stretching back to 2011.

The problem for Olympique however, is that PSG have since added Neymar and Kylian Mbappe to their ranks.

But should they somehow end that run this Sunday, the atmosphere in the Stade Velodrome will reach a whole new level.

Big match previews, betting tips and transfer news – we’ve got it all.
