Five picks from the afternoon action

With a packed fixture list from the Premier League down to League Two this Saturday, there’s plenty of football action to chew over.

The Coral News Team have looked across all four divisions for the best value from the 3pm kick-offs.

Featuring at least one selection from each division, a £5 stake on this football five-fold could return £184.40. All prices and returns correct at time of writing.

Things begin at Vicarage Road.

Watford to beat Stoke City

These two sides could not have had more contrasting starts to the season. Marco Silva’s Watford are flying high in sixth, while Mark Hughes’ Stoke have won just three games in all competitions.

Add in that the Hornets have only lost once at home so far in the league – to Manchester City – and they look fantastic value at 21/20.

Wolves to beat Queens Park Rangers

When you spend big, you have to deliver. And Wolves certainly have. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have picked up 29 points from 39 available and boast the division’s best away record.

QPR, by contrast, are winless in seven and plummeting towards the Championship’s relegation zone at a rate of knots. The visitors to Loftus Road this afternoon have the quality to take all three points at a generous 6/5.

Bristol City to beat Sunderland

Sunderland last won at home on 17 December 2016. Against a Bristol City side high on confidence after beating Crystal Palace 4-1 in the Carabao Cup,  the Coral News Team are not expecting that to change.

The Robins are unbeaten in six on the road and are 8/5 to take the spoils at the Stadium of Light.

Rotherham to beat Gillingham

Rotherham have readjusted to life well back in League One. The Millers are fifth in the table after 15 games and will fancy their chances against a Gillingham side that languish inside the relegation zone.

With the division’s top scorer Kieffer Moore set to lead the line once again, the hosts bulk up this acca at 1/2.

Wycombe Wanderers to beat Cheltenham

They may be three games without a win, but Wycombe are too good to turn down at 21/20. Why? Well, the Chairboys have won three of their last four against this afternoon’s opponents.

And as the division’s second-highest scorers, they should have no trouble finding the back of the net against the mid-table Robins.
