There’s a bumper day of racing this Saturday with nine live races on ITV from three different meetings across the UK.
Newbury, Cheltenham, and Doncaster are all on the agenda but it’s the latter that most interest will be focused.
The Group 1 Racing Post Trophy is the feature race of the day from the South Yorkshire course with attention focused on Aidan O’Brien.
The Irish trainer is just one win away from beating Bobby Frankel’s legendary record of most Group 1 wins in a season.

Bet of the Day
Even at the short odds, it’s difficult to ignore Saxon Warrior’s claim in the Racing Post Trophy renewal.
Aidan O’Brien’s two-year-old is unbeaten in two and looks an absolutely superb prospect.
This will be his first trip up to Group One category but O’Brien has said he’s very confident the colt is more than capable.
In fact, many keen observers reckon we’ve not yet seen the best of the son of Galileo.
Ryan Moore has been booked to ride him and that suggests O’Brien views the horse as his best bet in the race.
It’s an important race for the Ballydoyle trainer. A win here will see him break Frankel’s record. The Coral News Team are backing him to do with Saxon Warrior.
Ground looks like it’s going for Frontiersman
Frontiersman justifying favouritism in the Indigo Leisure Stakes at Newbury was always weather-dependent.
Charlie Appleby’s four-year-old has been in good form over the last few months. And that’s been primarily on good ground.
There were concerns soft ground would hamper his chances, but the weather forecast looks decent for the next couple of days.
Competition in this renewal will come from Best Solution but Frontiersman is fresh off a Listed win last time out under James Doyle.
Doyle is booked to ride him again here and both look a good bet for another victory.
Vaniteaux looks a long price
It’s off to Cheltenham now for a look at the Randox Health Handicap Chase.
There’s an interesting each-way punt in this renewal with Vaniteaux and Tom Scudamore.
It’s a competitive-looking field with 16 running in the 2m race. And Scudamore has been talking up the eight-year-old stayer’s chances recently.
He’s coming off top weight here but connections are confident he’ll prove his class and ability with a big performance.
Having gone up against Altior and Un De Sceaux in his last three outings, the field here won’t be anywhere near that kind of quality.
