Sam Allarydce 8-1 to be next USA boss
Published:
Sam Allardyce is 8-1 with leading bookmaker Coral to be the next USA national team manager after the former England boss hinted he would be tempted by the job. Despite ruling him out of the position, Allardyce is the 9-2 second-favourite to replace Craig Shakespeare at Leicester.
At the top end of the next permanent Leicester manager market, Sean Dyche is the 7-2 favourite after being cut from 5-1 following strong support. Wales boss Chris Coleman is 5-1, while Michael Appleton is 10-1.
“Sam has hinted that the vacant USA national job would interest him and that has prompted many punters to back the former England boss to jump Stateside for the role,” said Coral’s John Hill.
“Sean Dyche now tops the betting to replace Craig Shakespeare at Leicester as many of the early front runners have ruled themselves out of the position” added Hill.
