Bet of the Day: West Ham to beat Brighton on Friday Night Football
The Hammers have improved recently
This weekend’s Premier League action starts early with West Ham United taking on Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday night.
West Ham have started to pick up some points after a very poor start. They’ve only lost one of their last six games in all competitions.
Brighton are in 14th place, just above the Hammers on goal difference, but they’ve struggled on the road in the top flight.
Chris Hughton’s side have only picked up one point from four away games in the league this season. They’ve only scored one goal too.
That means home advantage could make the difference for West Ham. Tottenham are the only away side to leave the London Stadium with three points so far this term.
With that in mind, today’s Coral Bet of the Day is West Ham to Win to Nil at 9/5.
Hernandez’s chance to shine
Slaven Bilic has awkwardly tried to fit Javier Hernandez and Andy Carroll into the starting XI at times this season.
Carroll is suspended for this game, which means Hernandez should start in his favoured poacher’s position.
Manuel Lanzini’s return to fitness benefits the Mexico international too. He’ll add much-needed creativity in midfield.
Hernandez is 4/1 as First Goalscorer.
Friday Goalfest Unlikely
As previously mentioned, Brighton have struggled to hit the back of the net on their travels this season.
But West Ham haven’t been banging in the goals either. Bilic’s side have only scored more than once in two of their league games this season.
The Coral experts think it could be a low-scoring affair at the London Stadium. West Ham and Under 2.5 Goals looks good value at 13/5.
