Bet of the Day: In-form Kane to crush the Cherries

Spurs striker to do the business once again

Tottenham Hotspur host AFC Bournemouth at Wembley as the Premier League returns this weekend. And for top-marksman Harry Kane, that usually spells goals.

The Spurs forward has a hugely impressive record when up against the Cherries. In four games against the South Coast club, Kane has chalked up an incredible six goals.

His form this season isn’t bad either. The England ace has netted 15 times in his last nine games for club and country. That record is even more impressive you consider that the 24-year-old has scored five braces and one hat-trick in that run.

Up against one of his favourite opponents at Wembley on Saturday, it appears likely that Kane will continue his incredible form in front of goal. Coral’s Bet of the Day is Kane to score 2 or more at 6/4.

Expect a Wembley goalfest

Spurs have been wasteful in front of goal on home soil so far this season. But the Coral News Team expect that to change today.

The Lilywhites’ last three results before the World Cup qualifiers read 3-2, 3-0 and 4-0. It’s a matter of when rather than if they transfer that clinical form in front of goal to Wembley.

And if that wasn’t impressive enough, the North Londoners’ last four fixtures against Eddie Howe’s men read 4-0, 0-0, 3-0 and 5-1.

They’ve scored seven without reply at home against Bournemouth and with the Cherries in such poor form, that trend shouldn’t change this evening. It’s 4/7 for Tottenham to win and Over 2.5 Goals.

Home shutout on the cards

Despite having Josh King and Jermain Defoe among their ranks, tonight’s visitors have found it difficult in front of goal so far this season. The Cherries have had just 73 shots in the Premier League, only four of which have led to goals.

That doesn’t make good reading. And with Spurs having kept four clean sheets in their last five, it’s going to be difficult for the South Coast side to break the hosts’ rearguard.

Coral are backing Tottenham to Win to Nil at 21/10.
