There’s little to separate the two teams

We may be on the cusp of the final two rounds of World Cup qualifying but there’s still some club action to look forward to.

Few things excite the Coral News Team as much as a good old-fashioned National League encounter.

And that’s exactly what’s in store with Tranmere Rovers hosting Leyton Orient.

There has been a remarkable start to this season’s campaign with just eight points separating the top 18 teams.

Tranmere currently reside near the bottom of that group, lying in seventeenth position.

That’s partly down to a poor home record of just two wins from six games, with three defeats and a single draw.

However, when you look a little closer, that trio of defeats came against three of the top six teams. It’s been a difficult run.

Orient currently sit in fifteenth, just a point, and two places ahead of Rovers.

Their away form mirrors that of their opponents. Two wins, three defeats, and one draw.

It’s difficult to separate these teams and that’s why the Coral Bet of the Day is the Draw at 13/5.

Back both teams to find the net

Examining the goals for and against columns of this pair makes for interesting reading.

Orient have seen a lot more action than Rovers at both ends of the field.

Steve Davis’ side have scored 18 and conceded 22 in 13 league games.

Micky Mellon’s Tranmere have been a bit tighter, conceding just nine, and bagging nine themselves.

Both sides have tough runs coming up so will be looking to find the net.

The 4/5 on Both Teams to Score – Yes looks like a bit of value.

Back Bonne to get on the score sheet

Of the 18 goals Orient have scored this season, Macauley Bonne has scored seven of them.

Remarkably, he’s notched those seven strikes from the first five league games.

However, the 21-year-old has not found the net since a hat-trick against Guiseley at the beginning of September.

But the former Colchester United ace has scored in both previous O’s away victories.

He is 21/10 to an Anytime Goalscorer and 11/2 to be First Goalscorer.
