Alexandra Burke cut to 11-4 for Strictly success

SPORTSBOOK ODDS

Alexandra Burke has been cut into 11-4 (from 7-2) by leading bookmaker Coral after another impressive performance yesterday evening which prompted a flurry of bets for the popstar to win the show. Aston Merrygold remains marginally ahead of her as the 5-2 favourite, while Debbie McGee can be backed at 7-2.

Richard Coles was 7-2 with Coral to be eliminated from Strictly this weekend before he lost the dance off to Simon Rimmer. The TV chef, who has survived for another week, is the 2-1 favourite to leave next weekend.

“Punters are now starting to get behind Alexandra as the most likely the winner of the show after another good performance. There is very little now in the between Aston, Alexandra and Debbie in the outright market,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“The betting was spot on as to who would be in the latest dance-off. Simon has survived for another week, however, we believe he is the most likely contestant to depart next weekend” added Hill.
