Les Parisiens reportedly preparing mega bid

If media reports are to be believed, Chelsea may have a battle on their hands to keep a hold of N’Golo Kante.

Paris Saint-Germain have been ultra busy over the summer flexing their financial muscles.

The French giants spent nearly £400m in the close season bullying Barcelona and Monaco into selling them Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, respectively.

Now the Paris outfit have set their sights on Chelsea with a rumoured bid of £90m for N’Golo Kante next summer.

If that is true, and Kante does want a move home, it gives the Blues time to search for a suitable successor.

The Coral News Team looks at three potential replacements for the French international midfielder.

Idrissa Gueye

The Senegal international has been a revelation since arriving in England.

It’s true he was a part of a terrible Aston Villa side relegated in 2015-16. But his all-action displays for the Villans earned him a move to Everton where he has truly shone.

The 28-year-old is a tenacious, ball-winning metronome with the ability to break up play and drive forward at pace.

A bid of around £30-40m should be enough to sweeten the Toffees into selling.

Fabinho

The Brazilian international would be a superb addition to Chelsea’s midfield. It’s not exactly a secret Monaco would more than likely sell should a suitable bid arrive.

The 23-year-old would reignite his devastating partnership with Tiemoue Bakayoko at the heart of the Blues’ midfield.

At 6ft 1in he is a little more in the Patrick Vieira-mould than Kante but his explosiveness and physicality would be a plus in the Premier League.

A bid of around £50-60m should prise him away from Ligue 1.

Radja Nainggolan

A slightly older option, but a quality player nonetheless.

The Belgium international would be 30-years-old next summer. However, he remains one of the best box-to-box midfielders on the continent.

The Roma ace is fearsome in the tackle, an excellent passer and has an eye for goal.

There are few players, if any, who you would compare to a modern-day Roy Keane, but he’s not far off it.

His contract at Stadio Olimpico runs until the summer of 2021 but a bid of around £35m would be hard for the Giallorossi to turn down.
