Ulysses cut for Arc glory as Stoute aims for Chantilly

Coral has cut Ulysses to 8-1 (from 10-1) for next month’s Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, following the news from the colt’s trainer Sir Michael Stoute that the dual-Group One winner is likely to take his chance in the Chantilly showpiece.  Enable remains evens favourite for the Arc, ahead of her stablemate Cracksman at 5-1, while Saturday’s St Leger winner, Capri, is 16-1 (from 20-1) for the race.

“Although Enable remains a red-hot favourite for the Arc, it’s great that Ulysses is likely to take the filly on once again, and he’s now single-figure odds to gain revenge for his King George defeat,” said Coral’s David Stevens.

“Leger hero Capri has also attracted support since his Doncaster success, and could form part of a strong Ballydoyle team that also includes Highland Reel and Order Of St George, and if Cracksman were to take on his stablemate as well, the favourite would have plenty to think about next month,” added Stevens.
