| 01.09.2017

Plenty of moves in the final hours in the UK

British Deadline Day of the summer 2017 window proved to be a dramatic and frantic affair. But what was the end result?

Alexis Sanchez didn’t go. Neither did Ross Barkley or Virgil van Dijk. And Philippe Coutinho still hasn’t joined Barcelona.

Yet despite several of the summer’s top storylines staying put, Deadline Day was full of thrills and spills.

With the dust now settled on Premier League incomings, the Coral News Team have taken stock and rounded-up all the headline stats and figures.

Let’s crack on…

£210m – the amount spent by Premier League clubs on the final day of the window

£35m – the highest Premier League Deadline Day transfers, for Danny Drinkwater and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
