Zidane’s men already on the back foot

They’re reigning La Liga champions, but come Monday Real Madrid’s title defence could be in a precarious state.

Zinedine Zidane’s men have already dropped points twice this season, thanks to draws at home to Valencia and Levante.

It leaves Cristiano Ronaldo and co five adrift of rivals Barcelona.

And this weekend they travel to San Sebastian to take on Real Sociedad.

Real are understandably favourites – they’re 4/6 with Coral – but Sociedad are in fine form and could be a problem for Real.

Eusebio Sacristan’s outfit have collected a perfect nine points from their opening three games of the campaign.

And they’ve taken that momentum into European affairs too, firing four past Rosenborg in the Europa League on Thursday night.

All told they’re unbeaten in 11 games, and will surely appeal to plenty at 18/5.

Their success has been largely due to a free-scoring attack, with Sociedad netting two or more goals in eight of their last nine games.

They’re already on a whopping 14 goals this season.

And that’s bad news for Real, who conceded to both Valencia and Levante.

They’ve slipped at the Anoeta before too, failing to win in 2013 and 2014.

As for Barcelona, they head to Getafe with the last three meetings totalling an 18-0 scoreline in favour of the Catalan giants.

So don’t be surprised to Real’s title hopes fade yet further this weekend.

Big match previews, betting tips and transfer news – Coral has got it all.
