Premier League quartet hoping to pick up first win of the season

Will any of them end their rut this weekend?

It’s Gameweek 4 in the Premier League, but four sides are still seeking their first victory of the campaign after a dismal August.

Brighton, Bournemouth, West Ham and Crystal Palace are all yet to collect three points, while the latter trio remain stranded on zero for the season so far.

So, what are the chances of the foursome grabbing their first victory this weekend? Coral News analyses their chances…

Brighton

It’s been a steady start for Brighton. They did little wrong in defeat to Manchester City, but an early lapse cost them against Leicester.

The Seagulls bounced back to earn their first Premier League point last time out at Watford, and will fancy their chances again at home to West Brom.

The Baggies may be unbeaten, but they’ve had it easy so far and a number of Chris Hughton’s summer signings will be fully settled in now, including record arrival Jose Izquierdo.

Coral are 8/5 on Brighton earning their first win of the season.

Bournemouth

After an excellent ninth-place finish last season, Eddie Howe may be a touch concerned by Bournemouth’s pointless start to the campaign.

Especially since they opened with games versus West Brom and Watford. They put up a fight against Man City but now head to an Arsenal side desperate to make amends for their own August woes.

Given the Gunners’ problems right now, the Cherries shouldn’t be discounted at 15/2, but a home game with Brighton next Friday night is a more likely setting for Bournemouth’s first victory.

West Ham

Due to the World Athletics Championships taking place, West Ham had to begin the campaign with three away games.

That can offer some justification to the Hammers’ pointless predicament, although they were woeful against Newcastle last time out.

September should be kinder with a trio of home games coming their way, and Monday night’s clash with Huddersfield will give a real insight into how their season will pan out.

Slaven Bilic’s men are 10/11 favourites but the Terriers have started brightly in the Premier League, and in Steve Mounie boast a real handful up top.

Crystal Palace

With home games versus Huddersfield and Swansea last month, Crystal Palace really should have a few points in the bag.

But Frank de Boer is struggling to successfully implement his style of play at Selhurst Park, and time is ticking.

The Dutchman reportedly has one more game to save his job, but that game comes at Turf Moor.

Burnley are notoriously tricky to face on home soil, and Palace are the outsiders at 23/10 with Coral to get up and running with a win this weekend.

A home game with Southampton offers a second chance next week, but Palace’s month ends with successive trips to the Etihad and Old Trafford…
