Crystal Ocean heads Coral’s betting for this weekend’s William Hill St Leger at 10-3, ahead of Capri at 7-2, following the latest entry stage for the season’s final Classic. Goodwood Cup winner Stradivarius is next at 9-2, ahead of Defoe at 5-1.
“Crystal Ocean was the subject of ante-post support for the Investec Derby earlier this summer, and although that gamble went astray, following an impressive success at Goodwood last month, he is now favourite for Classic glory, albeit at Doncaster rather than Epsom,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
