Coral’s £5 Tuesday Carabao Cup acca pays over £142
Five-fold from Tuesday’s third-round ties
The Premier League big boys join the Carabao Cup in the third round. Most of the top six are in action tomorrow, which means there’s plenty of value in the games taking place tonight.
The Coral News Team have studied the fixtures and the form guide to come up with five selections from the 19:45 kick-offs for today’s acca.
A £5 stake on this five-fold would score you £142.70 if it comes in. Prices and returns mentioned are correct at time of publishing.
Let’s get started at Selhurst Park…
Crystal Palace to beat Huddersfield Town
Crystal Palace desperately need a win from somewhere. They’re without a point in the Premier League. The Eagles haven’t scored a goal yet either.
Their poor start to the campaign has already cost Frank de Boer his job. Now Roy Hodgson is likely to take them back to basics. It should be a much better fit for this squad.
Palace are 5/6 favourites against a Huddersfield Town side that will see league action as the priority this season.
Bournemouth to beat Brighton & Hove Albion
Bournemouth and Brighton & Hove Albion face each other at the Vitality Stadium for the second time in a week.
Bournemouth came from behind to win 2-1 in the league last Friday. The Cherries are unbeaten in six against the Seagulls and are 19/20 to triumph again.
Jordon Ibe came off the bench to set up both Bournemouth goals last time out. It could be the spark his career on the South Coast needs. The 21-year-old is in line to start here.
Chris Hughton may have to field a makeshift Brighton side. He’s short of options in central midfield and up front.
Wolves to beat Bristol Rovers
Currently riding high in the Championship, Wolves are 1/2 to beat League One side Bristol Rovers.
Wolves are unbeaten in five, while Rovers have lost both of their last two games.
Nuno Espirito Santo would have liked to rotate his side for this one. However, the treatment room at Molineux is getting increasingly busy.
Santo is set to pick a strong side which will minimise the chances of an upset but may leave some of his players tired for this weekend’s league action.
Leeds United to beat Burnley
Championship leaders Leeds United suffered their first league defeat of the season against Millwall last Saturday.
It ended a run of five straight wins but the Coral experts think they can get right back on track against Burnley at Turf Moor.
Burnley are 4/5 favourites and Leeds are priced at 18/5. However, Burnley have been knocked out of this competition by lower league sides in each of the last three seasons.
Sean Dyche sees Premier League survival as his main focus and often makes changes for the cup. Six players who started in the second round haven’t started in the top flight this season. That could open the door for a surprise Leeds win.
West Ham United to beat Bolton Wanderers
West Ham are the last selection in Tuesday’s acca. Slaven Bilic has eased some of the pressure on his shoulders recently. His side have picked up four points from their last two games and kept two clean sheets.
There is still work to be done, especially the question of how to fit Javier Hernandez and Andy Carroll into the same side. But the Hammers should have too much for Bolton.
The East London club are odds-on at 3/10.
Bolton are bottom of the Championship after four straight defeats and have yet to win in the league.
