Bet of the Day: Celta Vigo value to get the win against Espanyol
Galicians have a good recent record v Catalans
Espanyol host Celta Vigo at RCDE Stadium this Monday night with both sides struggling at the wrong end of the table.
The home side are winless from their opening three games. And currently reside in the relegation zone with just a solitary point from those fixtures.
Celta, on the other hand, are slightly better off. The Galicians are up in 16th with one win from their first three league games.
However, Juan Carlos Unzué’s side have a decent recent record against the Catalans with three wins and two draws from their last five meetings.
This fixture ended up 2-0 to Celta last season and, with Espanyol struggling this term, there could be a similar result.
The 21/10 about the Celestes looks a value proposition and becomes the Coral News Team’s Bet of the Day.
Goals in short supply
It’s a little early to fully compare, but Celta don’t look the same free-flowing side this season compared to last term under Eduardo Berizzo.
They managed to find the back of the net at least once in 12 of their 19 league away fixtures under the Argentine.
While they did score in their opening away game against Real Betis in a 2-1 defeat, there are worries they have not yet clicked in attack this campaign.
Espanyol have failed to score at home in the league since April.
Both Teams To Score – No is a lively 19/20. Under 2.5 Goals is 8/11.
Gomez to get on the scoresheet again
Celta’s young starlet, Maximiliano Gomez, has started the season in great form.
The young Uruguayan has managed three goals in three games since his summer move from Defensor Sporting.
He’s 13/8 to score anytime. Former Liverpool forward Iago Aspas will also be involved for the Galicia outfit.
The 30-year-old scored 26 goals for his side last season and is 2/1 to get off the mark here anytime.
