Tartan Army continue World Cup quest

The latest batch of World Cup qualifiers are underway and it’s crunch time as far as Scotland are concerned.

But Gordon Strachan’s side know that a win in Lithuania would keep them in the mix in Group F, especially as they host Malta in Monday.

Matches between Scotland and Lithuania have tended to be tight in recent times, but given the Tartan Army’s tendency for late goals, Coral’s bet of the day is Scotland to win at 3/4.

First-half stalemate

Scotland have scored nine times in this qualifying campaign, but amazingly eight of those have come in the second-half.

It’s a similar story for the Lithuanians, who have seen four of their six goals netted after the break.

With that in mind, a first-half draw is 19/20, while both teams to score in the second period could appeal at 3/1 with Coral.

Better late than never

Gordon Strachan’s side have shown a real knack for late goals, and that could continue in Vilnius in what’s expected to be a closely-fought fixture.

Neither side will want to concede early on, so the Half-Time/Full-time option on Draw/Scotland could prove popular at 16/5.
