These Foxes are the subject of serious interest

Deadline Day can’t finish soon enough for Leicester City. As many as five of their first team players are coveted by potential suitors.

Riyad Mahrez, Danny Drinkwater and Ahmed Musa are all the subject of potential deals that would take them away from the King Power Stadium.

The Coral News Team has had a look at where the Leicester five could end up before 11pm today.

Riyad Mahrez

Mahrez has been the subject of intense transfer speculation all summer. But with just hours to go until the window shuts, he doesn’t appear any closer to a move.

What is known is that the midfielder left the Algeria training camp this morning. However, his destination remains unclear. Chelsea are still the 4/5 favourites to clinch a deal before the day is out.

Jamie Vardy

A transfer for Jamie Vardy is looking increasingly unlikely. Chelsea and Everton have both shown interest throughout the summer. But it now looks as though the England star will be staying put at the King Power.

Arsenal was another potential destination for the 30-year-old. However, the Gunners have now turned their attention to Monaco’s Thomas Lemar.

Danny Drinkwater

The most likely Leicester-based transfer to go through today. Drinkwater has been linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge for some time. And it now looks like the deal could go down to the wire.

If he does move Drinkwater will join up with former midfield partner N’Golo Kante in West London. Chelsea have not been particularly decisive in getting deals over the line this summer. This one looks like it might be different.

Ahmed Musa

Hull City have been chasing Musa for some time now. The 24-year-old joined the Foxes for £16.6m from CSKA Moscow last summer. A troubled time in the East Midlands has seen Musa fall out of favour, though.

A move to Hull would reinvigorate the beleaguered forward and a loan switch looks likely.

Islam Slimani

Although not heavily linked to a King Power departure, there’s still a chance Slimani could head away from the East Midlands.

Watford remain in the running for the Algerian ace after Monaco pulled out. Marco Silva has brought in some canny additions this summer and Slimani would add important height up front.
