Football is back, and Twitter loves it

Arsenal upset Chelsea at Wembley to bring the curtain down on last season, and it was more of the same on Sunday, as The Gunners beat The Blues in North West London to win the Community Shield.

Chelsea looked in control, and got the breakthrough on 46 minutes when Victor Moses lashed the ball into the net. That set the pace for a dramatic second-half, Pedro flashed a straight red card on 80 minutes and Arsenal using their numerical advantage to equalise less than two minutes later.

That even finish forced the match to penalties, the FA Cup winners claiming a 4-1 cheer. New Chelsea signing Alvaro Morata missed his chance to win over fans, coming on as a late sub and fluffing his lines from the spot. Arsenal kept a cool head to run out convincing champions.

Football fanatics were delighted to have domestic action back on our screens and took to Twitter to have their say on the score. Here’s a few of our favourite Tweets, which we think sums up the day perfectly…..
