Alexis Sanchez now 4-11 to sign for Manchester City

Leading bookmaker Coral has cut the odds on Alexis Sanchez signing for Manchester City before the summer transfer closes into 4-11 (from 1-2) following a flurry of bets this afternoon. The Chilean is out to 2-1 (from 13-10) to remain with Arsenal.

Elsewhere, Philippe Coutinho is now odds-on at 8-13 to still be at Liverpool on September 1, while he is 11-10 to join Barcelona. Ross Barkley is 6-5 to secure a move to Chelsea and Danny Drinkwater is 1-8 to join his former teammate N’Golo Kante at Stamford Bridge.

“The number of bets and amount of money staked on Sanchez’s future suggest the Chilean is going to sign for Manchester City before this summer transfer window slams shut,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“In the latest twist in the betting, Philippe Coutinho is now odds-on to remain with Liverpool on September 1, while the odds on the Brazilian joining Barcelona have drifted as we approach the end of the window,” added Hill.
