Alexis Sanchez has been cut into 1-2 (from 2-1) this afternoon by leading bookmaker Coral to sign for Manchester City following speculation the Chilean forward could be set to leave Arsenal. Sanchez is 13-10 to remain with the Gunners when the summer transfer window closes, while he is 5-1 to be at Manchester United.

Manchester City are also in pole position to sign West Brom’s Jonny Evans as they are evens to have the player registered by the end of the month. The Northern Ireland international is 5-4 to be still be a Baggies player on September 1 and 5-2 to be at Arsenal.

“Alexis Sanchez is now odds-on for the very first time to be a Manchester City player at the end of the summer transfer window which suggests this deal is now likely to take place over the next couple of days,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“Sanchez may not be the last of City’s signings before the window slams shut as they are also the favourites to secure the signature of Jonny Evans from West Brom,” added Hill.
