We hit the road for our value fix

It’s a quieter than usual Saturday service this weekend, with the Confederations Cup and U21 Euros played on Friday and Sunday. Football punters have plenty to look forward to however, with the midweek Champions League and Europa League matches proving we’re fast approaching the new season.

Dealing with the here and now, we run through Saturday’s matches, looking for a share of the value, and there’s enough on to give Coral punters an interest. Piecing together a Saturday five-fold, every £5 down on our selections returns £90.30.

USA beat Ghana

Starting with game of the day, and we have an international friendly match that provides followers with plenty of excitement. USA will be eager to make home advantage count in what is sure to be a competitive outing, and we take them to do just that. The locals go in on the back of an impressive run of form, beating the likes of Jamaica and Honduras, while their opponents have had a lot less to cheer about. Ghana were beaten 1-0  by Mexico, 2-0 by Cameroon and even 1-0 by Burkina. That drought in front of goal makes them difficult to trust. The USA win appeals at evens.

OPS beat GRIFK

Moving onto the Finnish Ykkonen and we’re throwing our support behind OPS, another side looking to flourish in front of their own fans. The selections have endured a tough time of it lately, but the talent is there, shown when getting the better of Jaro in a cracker. We’re happy to give them the benefit of the doubt, and take OPS to bank a much-needed three points. GRIFK are stuck down at the wrong end of the table, and look easy to go against. Another even money shot on the pile.

Lillestrom beat Stromsgodset

Taking in the headline act in the Norwegian Tippeligaen, and Lillestrom join the list. Stromsgodset have found wins hard to come by of late, managing just three in their first 14 starts and, after a sticky start, Lillestrom seem to have found their feet. Wins over the likes of Viking, Stabaek and Tromso has shunted our picks up the rankings. That makes our 10/11 look worth a shot, and they help boost up the returns.

Malmo beat Eskilstuna

The odds make Malmo banker of the list, and that looks about right to us. The Swedes sit top of the league after a dozen games played, showing a record of eight wins, three draws and just one defeat. They put in a battling performance to beat Ostersunds, and a similar effort will be more than enough to keep the good times rolling. 2/13 lends a hand.

Elfsborg beat Halmstad

Sticking with the Swedish Allsvenskan, and Elfsborg go as the only away team backed in the bet, but that shouldn’t put anyone off a play. Elfsborg have caught the eye of late, winning two on the bounce vs Sodra and Eskilstuna. They are looking to push themselves up towards the major places, and a maximum pay-out here would certainly help that. We finish up with a play at 21/20.
