In the world of sport, Feliciano Lopez went from an unseeded player to Queen’s Club champion, upsetting the odds to topple Marin Cilic in the final, while the size of the task in front of the British and Irish Lions was evident. The Tin Man was another who caused a scene, taking the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Queen Elizabeth the II presents the Diamond Jubilee Stakes trophy to jockey Tom Queally after he won on The Tin Man at Royal Ascot on Saturday. The champion edged out Tasleet by a neck at 9/2.

Portugal hammered New Zealand 4-0 in the Confederations Cup, Ronaldo scoring a first-half penalty to get the ball rolling. Portugal topped Group A, finishing three goals better than Mexico in second.

Feliciano Lopez beat Marin Cilic in the final of the Aegon Championships on Sunday. The Spaniard won 4-6, 7-6, 7-6, despite being written off before the match. Lopez finally claimed the title at the 12th attempt.

Lions fans and players were left deflated after being crushed 30-15 at Eden Park. With the match sitting in the balance at half-time, a stunning second-half performance saw New Zealand take control of the series.

Daniel Ricciardo won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, ahead of Valtteri Bottas and Lance Stroll. In a thrilling race, Seb Vettel drove into Lewis Hamilton, with the Englishman labeling his rival a disgrace.
