Coral catch-up on the latest transfer news

International football gave fans a summer interest over the course of the weekend, with the home nations all on World Cup qualifying duty. While the race to Russia was gathering pace, agents across Europe were working behind the scenes on a number of transfer deals.

Moves are expected at Arsenal over the next couple of weeks as long-serving manager, and fans favourite, Arsene Wenger slaps in his wish-list. The Frenchman seems set to lose his leading scorer however. Let’s catch up on the latest gossip.

Premier League tips for matchweek 17

Deal agreed to take Sanchez to City

In one of London’s worst kept secrets, Arsenal’s star striker Alexis Sanchez wants a move away from the Emirates, and to a club that can match his ambition. With The Gunners failing to qualify for the Champions League next season, it was thought the 28-year-old would be off to Chelsea as a replacement for Diego Costa. The player himself seemed to send as SOS to blues boss Antonio Conte, but it now looks like he’ll be playing his football for Man City. According to leading tabloids, a deal has been finalised between the clubs, with his current employers keen to cash in while they can.

Riyad Mahrez prefers Barca move

Talented Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez has played his final game for The Foxes, and the club appear to have accepted their fate. The 26-year-old has been offered a part in Arsene Wenger’s new-look Arsenal side next season, which the player is open to, but he’s holding off signing anything in the hope Barcelona firm up their interest. A move to Spain would be his preferred option, but the La Liga giants don’t appear to be in any rush, and Mahrez is just one of many potential targets for Barca. We’ll keep tabs on that one.

Graham Dorrans Nathan Redmond

Dorrans remains Pedro’s main priority

Graham Dorrans has told Norwich City he wants a move back to Scotland, with boyhood heroes Rangers his first choice. Gers manager Pedro Caixinha hasn’t been slow in getting new faces through the door at Ibrox, with the likes of Bruno Alves, Ryan Jack and Fabio Cardoso amongst the names already signed up. Dorrans would be a major capture for the Glaswegians, but they must up their original offer, thought to be around £700,000. £1.2m will be the magic number to push this one over the line.
