Everton boss Ronald Koeman bids to improve on last season’s seventh place finish, and has spared no expense in the summer transfer window.
The Toffees may be about to lose Ross Barkley, who wants to leave Goodison Park to better his chances of a place in England’s World Cup squad, but they have wasted no time bringing in a replacement, and it got fans talking. Ajax captain Davy Klaassen will be playing his football in the blue of Everton this term.
A £23m addition, the 24-year-old led his previous employers out against Manchester United in the final of the Europa League earlier this year.
