New York derby gives fans a midweek interest

The dominant side strolled to a 4-1 win over Thursday’s opponents when last hosting at the Red Bull Arena, Bradley Wright-Phillips grabbing a double, Ronald Zubar and a Sacha Kljestan penalty completing the rout. Thomas McNamara notched a consolation goal late in the first-half, before Ethan White was shown a red card on 89 minutes.

Over 3.5 goals worth a bet
The Bronx Blues have been written off in the market, with an upset priced at 11/5. City’s sole win to date over their rivals came last July, Jack Harrison breaking the deadlock on eight minutes, before David Villa slotted home at the Yankee Stadium to write his own little piece of history. Chris Duvall was sent off for the beaten side, in what proved to be yet another bad-tempered affair. Things should get tasty again on Thursday.
These sides met three times during the 2016/17 season, with 14 goals scored. Taking over 3.5 in the total goals market trades at 29/20. That would’ve been settled as a winning bet in three of the last four renewals.
