We drew a blank on Monday, with NAP Timeless Art failing to live up to expectations. Moving onto Tuesday’s card and we’re looking to put that right with our bet of the day featuring on an eight-race card at Salisbury. Traders keeping selection close
We get started at 2.00pm with a novice auction stakes, and Joegogo stands as our main hope, but for NAP of the day we keep our powder dry until the 4.00pm leg, a competitive fillies’ handicap, decided over one mile one furlong. Of the tight seven-runner field, Dubara carries our stake money.
Horse racing traders have the form three-year-old as the most likely winner of this race, and we find ourselves in full agreement. Finishing fifth of nine on debut at Yarmouth 12 months ago, she has done nothing but improve since, placing in each of her next five goes.
Big year expected for Dubara
The Luca Cumani prepped hope bagged what appeared to be an overdue win at Beverley on her penultimate start, and followed that up with a third at Newmarket earlier this year over a mile in decent company. Going off at double-figure odds that day, she was well beaten by eventual winner Tricorn, but connections would’ve taken encouragement from the effort.
Experts predict a big year ahead for Dubara, and Tuesday’s challenge should play to her advantage. She looks to have been given every chance to have a shot at winning this, and we fancy her chances of getting the desired result. There’s improvement in her, let’s see an example of it here.
