How social media captured the drama of it all
The race for a Premier League top-four finish, and Champions League football, dominated the thinking of fans everywhere on Sunday. There were plenty of fixtures across Europe on the day, but all eyes were firmly fixed on a thrilling conclusion to the English top-flight.
Just three points separated Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal going in to the afternoon, with a range of possibilities ahead. Who would finish third? Would there be a gripping Champions League play-off? Could Arsene Wenger really deliver the impossible, silencing his critics in the process?
