Punters singing the blues on Friday

Chelsea face the second leg of a season-defining three games in a week when travelling to The Hawthorns on Friday night, live in front of the BT Sport cameras from 8.00pm. Beat West Brom and the Londoners will go 10 points clear at the top of the division, pushing them over the line.

Slightly earlier in the schedule and Everton host Watford, with a win moving The Hornets up into the top-10, laying to rest any slight worries they have of being dragged into the relegation zone. Chelsea strolling towards history

Chelsea can almost touch the silver. They have a seven-point advantage over upstarts Spurs, with time running out. A win on Friday night would kill off their neighbours’ challenge. Since losing 2-0 to Manchester United at Old Trafford last month, Antonio Conte’s side have bounced back with a treble, beating Southampton, Everton and Middlesbrough all with plenty to spare.

Each of those three wins came by, at least, a two-goal margin, and Coral traders are giving out a useful 21/20 on the visitors keeping pace and coming out on top -1 on the handicap. Followers of the stats will be intrigued to know the favourites’ last two outings have ended 3-0. Another to nil appeals at 11/10, while backers happy to play small stakes for big returns can follow the hat-trick of 3-0 wins at 15/2 with us.

Chelsea fans were given a further boost with the news that star player N’Golo Kante was fit and available for selection again. 4/11 stands as the current price on the away win, but our football guys have laid on a number of special bets to help you squeeze out a share of value. Fabregas has been an influential player in the middle of the park for his employers this season, and we’re offering 5/1 on him to make two or more assists vs West Brom.

Barkley to Spurs also features in Coral's rumour reel for December 18.

Toffees to end sticky spell

Everton welcome Watford to Goodison Park from 7.45pm, with home fans hoping to see a first win of the month. Despite enjoying an incredible season, that saw them fighting for a top-four finish not so long ago, Everton go in winless in three, ending goalless with West Ham before losing back-to-back vs Chelsea and, more surprisingly, Swansea.

Things haven’t been too much better over at Vicarage Road, with Watford seemingly rolling to a stop. They too last won in mid-April, and make this trip hot on the heels of three defeats in quick succession, Hull, Liverpool and Leicester sticking the boot in.

That miserable trend has dragged The Hornets down to 15th, just six points better than Hull and the relegation zone. It shouldn’t come to that, but it’s difficult to make a case for them doing anything here. It is worth noting down that both teams have scored in each of the last three matches involving these sides. This one to fall into line looks a bet for multiples at 5/6.
