Five to start the weekend winning

There’s a surprisingly busy Friday evening of domestic football ahead. Chelsea’s trip to West Brom headlines, with The Blues looking to get the win needed to cement the league trophy. Elsewhere in the English top-flight and Everton host Watford, while there’s plenty of value in the Aberdeen vs Celtic match.

Click now to have your say on a range of Friday night football fixtures. We have put forward our five best bets for the evening, with every £5 staked paying £213.30. Our quest for profits takes us from the Premier League to the Danish Superligaen. We explain the thinking behind our picks below…..

Chelsea beat West Brom

Chelsea finally have the chance to drive the final nail into the Premier League coffin on Friday night and end any hope of a late Spurs’ fightback. We have previewed this match in a bit more detail, and you’ll find that under the football section of our site, but to summarise – Chelsea have won each of their last three games without conceding, scoring 10 goals in the process. Impressive, especially when placed alongside the form of West Brom, who are winless in six. 4/11 on the away day looks a fair shout.

Everton beat Watford

The Toffees appear to have run their race this season, and are running down the clock on-route to a seventh-place finish. More was there for them earlier in the year, but everyone connected to the club will be delighted with how their campaign has gone. Watford travel to Goodison on the back of a three-match losing run, all without scoring a goal. Everton can be trusted in front of their own fans to hike the pressure up on The Hornets at 4/9.

Lukaku couldn't stop scoring last season, and already has four goals this term for Everton.

Celtic beat Aberdeen

I was shocked to see Coral traders handing out 3/4 on Celtic to beat Aberdeen, as it looks like an end of season treat on the Scottish Premiership champions. Going to Pittodrie and winning is no mean feat, but this will be a warm-up for the Scottish Cup final as Celtic aim to complete the treble. Brendan Rodgers side has made light work of past meetings with The Dons, and with an undefeated season to push for, that will ensure they take this one seriously. Don’t miss the value.

Morton beat Dundee United

Gamble of the night, and the leg that will boost our returns considerably. Morton were unfortunate not to get the first leg win in Greenock on Tuesday, and with a bit more quality up front they could’ve been 3-0 up by half-time. In the end The Ton suffered a surprising 2-1 loss, but will now roll up their sleeves and do battle. There’s plenty of life left in this tie yet, and Morton are bigger than they should be at 7/2.

Randers beat Aalborg

Rounding things off in the Danish Superligaen and we throw our support behind Randers, who go to Aalborg. The selections go in the top-six, with just five points between themselves and fourth. A win here would make things interesting. Aalborg are winless in three and have managed just one positive from their last nine league starts. 7/4 will help us out.
