Prix Djebel winner now clear second favourite For Guineas

Al Wukair, an impressive winner at Maisons-Laffitte on Monday, is the now the clear 5-1 (from 8-1) favourite with Coral for next month’s Qipco 2,000 Guineas, following sustained support for the colt today. Churchill heads the Newmarket betting at 5-4, with his stablemate Caravaggio now 7-1 third best.
“Having halved his odds to 8-1 immediately after his Prix Djebel victory, we were forced to take further evasive action as punters put their faith in Al Wukair, first cutting him to 6-1, and then again to 5-1, and although Churchill remains strong favourite for the colts’ Classic, the market suggests Al Wukair will give the Ballydoyle star plenty to think about on the Rowley Mile,” added Stevens.
